Another day in chicago

Have you ever heard of bar hopping without actually going into bars? Well that's exactly what happened to us this weekend in Chicago.

It started when we realized that Lele had left all forms of identification: passport, ID, drivers license, library card, what have you-in Champaign-Urbana. There was no alternative. We had to find a place that wouldn't card upon entry. We first headed for Sedgwick's, a bar located on Lincoln, Sedgwick, and Armitage. Since we only had one car, we split up and half of us took a cab there. Being among the cab riders we got there early and found a bouncer at the door. Realizing that our group consisted of people well above drinking age, we hoped Lele could get by easily. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Even though we explained-well Lala stepping forward most of the time-that Lele had her car held after a supposedly speeding incident, she still wasn't allowed in. So we had to head out and find another place. Too bad for Paxi since the bar played 80s music-which was sort of his trademark.

Anywhoooo... whe headed for Japonais next and found yet another bouncer at the door. This time Paksi stepped forward, trying 1001 ways get Lele's in: from simpole chit-chating to nearly bribing. It didn't work. Evidently, the guy said we looked like a young bunch. Although a flattering fact, at that moment that was not really advantageous. So again, we had to think hard and find other alternatives.

Sushi Samba became our next destination. This time we tried to fit everybody in the car. It was a bit of a torturing ride for those squeezed in the back seat of the car, but Sushi Samba proved to be a good call. We slipped in easily, managed to secure seats right on time, and ordered drinks without questions.

So there were at Sushi Samba: Yudi-Lele-Ange-Renata

Before the bar hopping incident we had a luscious dinner at Mizu. Pics down below:

Got to finally meet up with Lala . Haven't seen each other since forever.

Earlier that day was a touristy session. Had lunch at Pizzaria Uno. Strolled down the crowded Michigan Ave, and even explored Navy Pier (we went on the Ferris Wheel as a matter of fact).
